New additional pipe tune from Dr. Neil Whitehead in New Zealand

This latest rendition is in honour of Christopher Irving, both father and son of the same name, who according to family tradition fought and died at the Battle of Flodden in 1513.

The tradition states that Christopher Irving led the Scottish Light Horse; however, we have yet to find any supporting evidence from this engagement of such a formation so we suspect the tradition stems from Border reivers, much in evidence along the Scottish – English Border region at that time, who plied their trade during the battle and no doubt reaped benefits afterwards.
